Four of Fire - Venus in Aries

The Four of Fire represents a steady, enduring flame — one that keeps its spark even when the cold breezes blow. This card represents a marriage, a new job, a promotion, a spiritual journey, an achievement, or any celebration where the energy and inspiration are high. It is about finding something of value — something that truly matters and inspires us. And, whatever “it” is, it is rock solid.
I see this as an energy anchored deep within us, perhaps the gift of a daily spiritual practice. Maybe we have found our calling, our partner, or our soul group. Or, it could simply be that we are no longer trying to get “anywhere” and are finally content and relaxed within ourselves. Even when The Four of Fire shows up as an amazing external experience, make no mistake: this is our internal and eternal flame.
To create this card, I started with the stability of four fire wands, signifying the spark of light that is Aries. I then married the fire element with two Venusian archetypes: Libra and Taurus. The Libra element is represented by the same white flower that graces my Justice card, showing the balance of Aries (self) and Libra (others). Libra harmonizes and celebrates the gifts in others—tipping the scales toward the “other”. Balancing Libra’s scales is a green leaf and its stem, or backbone, which grounds us to the Taurus side of Venus. Taurus reminds us to stay true to ourselves by honoring our values, resources, and unique gifts. Lastly, I added a red flower from my Death/Rebirth card. This acknowledges that often we have to let something perish within us in order to grow. While this type of transformation is never easy, it allows us to achieve a more stable power through deeper soul immersion — and that integration is what keeps The Four of Fire’s flame steady.
