The Four of Fire represents a steady, enduring flame — one that keeps its spark even when the cold breezes blow. This card represents a marriage, a new job, a promotion, a spiritual journey, an achievement, or any celebration where the energy and inspiration are high. It is about finding something of value — something that truly matters and inspires us. And, whatever “it” is, it is rock solid. I see this as an energy anchored deep within us, perhaps the gift of a daily spiri

“…what you put in darkness, inclusive of memory, calls you to that darkness.” - Paul Selig I was taking photos at a bank’s headquarters one day when I found myself drawn to the people crossing the skywalk. Something about their energy made me wonder if they were walking into a prison of their own making. Months later, I spotted the shadowy presence of the foosball handles cast upon my studio floor. I knew immediately they belonged to the Devil card, so I placed the skywal

The Three of Earth represents a collaborative environment where every person's vision is honored. Within this space, each person's talents are not just recognized but are essential and celebrated. This is about a team of individuals with diverse skill sets and areas of expertise. The alchemical process that is produced from this energy is nothing short of mastery. I decided to offer a playful approach to this theme by highlighting three children playing a hoop game. The trick

This card was created from a 1990s slide of a ferris wheel, which was taken when my obsession with photography first began.I loved the ferris wheel image, but once it landed on the card, I couldn’t help myself. I intuitively began twirling the image around until it resembled a giant energy ball. Representing fire in its purest form, this card brings energy, leadership, vision, creativity, adventure, and courage. The Ace of Fire nudges you to ignite your passions by following your inspiration. We are often so transfixed by “what is” that we miss this gift when it arrives. Pay attention to that quiet internal voice asking, “Hey, woul

When I see this card I immediately think, “Look up!” We often forge ahead, our eyes fixated on the ground right in front of us. But this is a five card, and the fives are about change. So, it would be wise to investigate our surroundings to make sure we are seeing the full picture. When I began creating this card, I visualized a flat tire in the rain. But I wanted to show the presence of something beautiful and life-giving as well, so I added a rainbow. The card still ne

The main picture on this card is of a friend of mine jumping. She came in with two of her workmates for business portraits. For her photo, she jumped really high over and over again, landing barefoot on the concrete floor. I was impressed, but also concerned about the impact on her feet. But she wasn’t. The second image is of a lake surrounded by rocks at a campground in Swannanoa, NC. The lake’s water was reflecting the sky. This made it look more like the edge of a cl
